Wanda Lea Flute, daughter of Robert Thomas and Anna Merle (Lee) Edmisten, was born on January 4, 1937 in Prairie Grove, Arkansas and passed from this life on July 1, 2010 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas at the age of 73 years, 5 months and 28 days.

Wanda was a life long resident of this area. She enjoyed her family and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Robert and Anna Edmisten, husband: Mack Flute, Sr., brother: Galand Edmisten and two infant daughters: Regina and Patricia Akins.

Keeping her memory are: J.D. Clouse, companion of the home in Westville, OK, children: Don Akins and wife Shirley of Harrison, AR, Jimmie Blossom and husband Danny of Siloam Springs, AR, Lana Whisenhunt and husband Henry of Stilwell, OK, Maxie Chrismon and husband Roy of Jay, OK, Mack Flute, Jr. of Harrison, AR, Travis Flute and wife Lisa of Anna, IL, 35 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, brothers: Don Edmisten of Kansas City, MO, Thomas Edmisten of Colorado Springs, CO, Ronald Edmisten of Fayetteville, AR, David Edmisten of Westville, OK, Gerald Edmisten of Lake of the Ozarks, MO. Wanda is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

Graveside services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 8, 2010 at Old Baptist Mission Cemetery with Sherman Christie officiating. Interment followed under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.
