Maggie Pauline Chadwell known to many as “Polly” daughter of Dee Elery and Jessie Lera (Rhodes) Smith was born January 13, 1921 in Lincoln, Arkansas and departed this life on May 22, 2012 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 91 years, 4 months and 9 days.
She was a very loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother to her family. She was a hard and dedicated worker at her jobs working for Campbell Soup and Plus Poultry. She also enjoyed cooking and baking for her family whom will never forget those cobblers and apple pies she made. You were not allowed just to come and visit, you had to eat while you were at her house or she would get upset.
She is survived by a very loving family that includes her children; Juanita Davenport and husband Don of Prairie Grove, AR, Oleta McCoy and Gary Chadwell both of Westville, OK, 11 grandchildren; Debra Uhl, Ricky Blakemore, Diane Reed,Mike Chadwell, Chris McCoy, Rhonda Spurlock, Todd Chadwell, Cindy Harris, Deanna Akin, Justin Chadwell and Kayla Davis. 15 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, several other relatives and many friends also survive her.
