Robert Lee Brown, son of Mack and Minnie (Logston) Brown was born December 16, 1935 in Siloam Springs, AR, and departed this life on December 27, 2015 in Westville, OK at the age of 80 years and 11 days.

He married the love of his life Gussie Hignite on June 18, 1958 and to this union 4 children were born; Cameron, Clifton, LeeAnn and DeeAnn. He served our country proudly in the United States Air Force for over 20 years. After retirement from the Air Force he worked for 18 years as a machinist at Baldor Electric Company. He also spent time as a mail carrier for several years. Some of his favorite times were spent with his family and tending to his cattle. He loved his farming life, coon hunting, fishing and gardening.

R.L. was preceded in death by his parents; Mack and Minnie Brown, siblings; Charles Brown, Leonard Brown, Maxine Daywood, Betty Wright, Lorene Desque and 3 infant siblings; Elmer, George and Evelyn Brown.

He is survived by a very loving family that includes his wife of over 57 years; Gussie Brown of the home in Westville, OK, 4 children; Cameron Brown and wife Christina, Clifton Brown and wife Amy, LeeAnn Wright and fiancé Wayne Richey, DeeAnn Waldrop and husband Ron all of Westville, OK, 6 grandchildren; Corey Brown, Chevy Brown, Kelsey Brown, Samantha Brown, Ashlee Brown and Felicia Brown, 3 great grandchildren, siblings; Irene Sykes and husband Bob of Rogers, AR, James Brown and wife Linda of Laramie, WY, Cecil Brown and wife Ethel of Victoria, TX, Retha Augustine and husband Mike of Haileyville, OK, Mary Pekar of Angleton, TX, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive him.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Roberts & Hart Chapel, Westville, Oklahoma with Bro. Dwight Hignite officiating.

Interment followed at Bell Cemetery, Watts, Oklahoma
