Silas Franklin Jones
December 22, 1931-October 1, 2008

Silas Franklin Jones was born December 22, 1931, in Wetumka, Oklahoma to Pete Madison Jones and Nora Bell Rhoades Jones.
He departed this life October 1, 2008, surrounded by loved ones at his home in Bunch, Oklahoma at the age of 76 years, nine months and nine days.

Silas was married to Eunice Ann Smith in Pueblo, Colorado on December 10, 1955 and to this union was born nine children.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from 1953 to 1961 during the Korean Conflict. Silas worked for Sequoyah Foam in Sallisaw as a plant engineer until his retirement. He enjoyed photography, astronomy, and made custom knives and jewelry. Silas was a Bible scholar and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife; Eunice Jones, two sons; Shawn Paul Jones and Noble Justin Jones, one brothr; Paul Jones and one sister; Nellie Faye Jones.

His surviving family includes two sons; Eric Jones, of Stilwell, OK and Allan Jones, of Bunch, OK, five daughters; April Durossette and husband Johnny, of Bunch, OK, Dawn McAbee, of Lyman, SC, Athena Reed and husband, Rick, of Lincoln, AR., Danika Pennington and husband, Richard, of Wilmington, NC and Athalia Jones, of Easley SC, 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Preceding Silas in death , one brother-in-law; George Limore.
Survivors also include six sisters; Mary M. Limore, Naomi R. Rodriguez and husband Jose, Martha S. Real, Ella N. Harper and husband Tommy, Daisy M. Poor and husband Kenny, Connie A. Roberts and husband Orvil, and one sister-in-law; Orene D. Jones. Numerous nieces, nephews cousins and many friends.
