Funeral services for Eunice Ann Smith-Jones were held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 17, 2000, at the Hart Memorial Chapel, officiating Elder Don Lewis, Family Friend, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Sallisaw, OK., Interment followed at the Ahman Hill Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.
Eunice Ann Smith-Jones was born April 6, 1938 in St. Louis, Mo. to Max Walton Smith Sr. and Mazie Ann Abrams-Lee. She departed this life August 14, 2000, in Stillwell, Adair Co., OK., at the age of 62 years, 4 months, and 8 days. She was a homemaker and a part-time election board employee. On December 10, 1955 Eunice married Silas Franklin Jones in Pueblo, Colo. She was a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
She was preceded in death by her father Max Walton Smith Sr. and two sons, Shawn Paul Jones and Noble Justin Jones. Those she leaves behind here on this earth are; her husband, Silas Franklin Jones, of the home in Bunch, two sons, Eric Douglas Jones of Ft. Smith, Ark., and Allan Wayne Jones also of the home; five daughters, April Elaine Durossette of Bunch, Dawn Elizabeth McAbee, of South Carolina, Athena Faith Reed, of Lincoln, Ark., Danika Lani Jones-Pennington and Athalia Dara Greene, both of South Carolina; 12 Grandchildren; her mother, Mazie Ann Abrams-Lee, of Enterprise, Utah; one brother, Max W Smith Jr. of Cedar City, Utah; numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends.
