Graveside services for Grace G. Campbell, 87, of Ninnekah, will be held Friday, September 2, 2005, at 10:30 A.M., in the Rush Springs Cemetery with Johnny Wray officiating.

Grace Campbell was born April 16, 1918, in Agawam, Oklahoma, the daughter of Herschel Lindsay and Catherine Grace Lindsey. She died Wednesday, August 31, 2005 at her home in Ninnekah.

Grace grew up and attended school in the Agawam area.

In 1934, Grace married Cecil (Dude) Berry in Ninnekah, Oklahoma.

This union brought them their three children: Janis, Kathryn, and Herschel.

Dude preceded Grace in death, and she later married Thomas Campbell.

Grace worked at Tinker Air Force Base and at Baptist Hospital until her retirement in 1972. After her retirement she joined several organizations and became an active member of the Ninnekah and Agawam community. She thoroughly enjoyed herself and made a point to meet and make as many friends as possible.

She loved the outdoors and worked in her yard. Her yard was one of her pride and joys. She also loved animals, dancing, and visiting with friends. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed cooking for her family. She looked forward to any occasion when the family would gather at her house for a family meal.

She was a member of the Assembly of God Church, the Ninnekah Home Demonstration Club, and the Senior Citizens Club.

She is preceded in death by both husbands and both parents.

She is survived by two daughters and son-in-law: Janis and Al Underwood, of Newcastle, and KathrynWeddle Bayne, of Ninnekah; one son and daughter-in-law: Herschel (Ed) and Debra Berry, of Oklahoma City; one brother and sister-in-law: Edwin and Pat Lindsey, of Austin, Texas; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren.
